If you work in an English-speaking office, you may need to send emails to your colleagues and clients. Email
Writing in English can be difficult and there are certain rules that you should follow when writing emails at work

Here's a list of what to do (and what not to do) when sending emails at work:
DO DON'T
Check your spelling and grammar.
Put a subject in the subject line.
Include a greeting (i.e. 'Dear xxx' or 'Hi').
Include your contact details.
Type in UPPER CASE - it looks aggressive!
Use slang or swear words!!
Use smileys in emails to colleagues.
Copy every email to the whole office

Five Ways to Say... "Rain"
Many different words can be used to describe the rain.  Each variation of this word tells you how heavy the rain is - from the lightest Raindrop to a heavy Monsoon!

It's Raining Cats & Dogs...

When someone says that it is 'raining cats and dogs', they mean that it is raining very heavily.
Write it Right!
Some words sound the same - but are spelled differently and have different meanings! Here are some examples
Write / Right
Write - to put words, letters, or numbers on paper as a method of communication.
Right - something correct or accurate.
Pair / Pear
Pair - two identical or similar objects that are used together (i.e. a pair of earrings)
Pear - an edible fruit that grows on trees
